Clywch lawen lef! Gwaredwr ddaw
  'R ôl aml addewid lân;
Pob calon trefned orsedd deg,
  Pob tafod seinied gân.

Daw Ef i ollwng caeth yn rhydd
  O afael Satan deyrn;
Ymrwyg o'i flaen y pyrth o bres,
  Ymddryllia'r barrau heyrn.

Daw Ef i rwymo'r galon friw,
  I'r ysig rhydd iachâd;
I iselfrydig dlodion rhydd
  Drysorau mawr ei rad.

Wel henffych iti, Dwysog Hedd!
  Hosanna fyth fo'n llef;
Ac atsain d'enw annwyl fydd
  Drwy holl drigfannau'r nef.

Hear ye a cheerful cry!  A deliverer comes
  After many holy promises;
Let every heart arrange a fair throne,
  Let every tongue sound a song!

He comes to set a captive free
  From the grip of Satan's reign;
Rend thou before him the portals of brass,
  Shatter thou the iron bars.

He comes to bind the bruised heart,
  To the strained he gives healing;
To the humble-minded poor ones he gives
  The great treasures of his grace.

Then hail to thee, Prince of Peace!
  Hosanna forever be our cry;
And the echo of thy dear name shall be
  Through all the dwellings of heaven.

Hark, the glad sound! The Saviour comes,
  The Saviour promised long!
Let every heart prepare a throne,
  And every voice a song.

He comes the prisoners to release,
  In Satan’s bondage held;
The gates of brass before Him burst,
  The iron fetters yield.

He comes the broken heart to bind,
  The bleeding soul to cure;
And with the treasures of His grace
  To enrich the humble poor.

Our glad hosannas, Prince of Peace,
  Thy welcome shall proclaim;
And Heaven’s eternal arches ring
  With Thy belovèd name.
