Daw'r ynfydion i gydnabod

(Cydnabod fôd Duw)
Daw'r ynfydion i gydnabod,
Fod rhyw Dduw
    anfeidrol hynod;
  Dydd y farn a
      wna yn oleu,
  Ei fod yn Dduw o ryfedd wrthiau.

Mae holl blant a gwir Genhadon
Duw, yn dwëyd am dano'n gyson:
  Yspryd sanctaidd yr ysgrythyr,
  Ddengys Dduw yn beffaith eglur.

Clôd, o'n calon, i'n Cynhaliwr,
Duw ein doethaf Lywodraethwr;
  Ynddo ef mae nef o gysur,
  Duw y'Nghrist yw nef pechadur.
Dafydd Jones 1770-1831

[Mesur: 8888]

(Recognizing that God exists)
The fools will come to recognize,
That there is some particular
    immeasurable God;
  The day of judgment will
      bring it to light,
  That he is a God of amazing miracles.

All the children and true emissaries
Of God, are telling about him constantly:
  The Holy Spirit of scriptures,
  Will show forth God perfectly clearly.

Praise, from our hearts, to our Upholder,
God our wisest Governor;
  In him is the heaven of comfort,
  God in Christ is a sinner's heaven.
tr. 2013 Richard B Gillion
