Dyma'r Perl a dal ei garu

("Y Perl gwerthfawr.")
Dyma'r Perl a dal ei garu,
  'Mhob caledi, fach a mawr,
Iesu ydyw, mae ei enw
  Ef yn llanw nef a llawr;
Perl a bery yn dragywydd,
  Perl o ddefnydd mawr ei bris,
Alpha, Omega, f'enaid cofia,
  Na foddlona ar ddim sydd is.

Perl ni thoddir, ac ni losgir,
  Perl ni threulir byth i ma's,
Perl a welir yn dyscleirio,
  Pan ddarfyddo'r ddaear lās,
Perl a wna i'r rhai a'i caffo,
  Seinio can na dderfydd byth,
O fewn i gaerau'r nefoedd oleu,
  'Mysg myrddiynau rif y gwlith.

("The Pearl of great price.")
Here is the Pearl that is still loved,
  In every hardship, small and great,
Jesus it is, his name is
  Flooding heaven and earth;
A Pearl that shall endure in eternity,
  A Pearl of greatly priced material,
Alpha, Omega, my soul remember,
  Do not be satisfied with anything less.

A Pearl not to be melted, and not burned,
  A Pearl never to be worn out,
A Pearl to be seen shining,
  When the blue-green earth passes away,
A Pearl that makes those who get it,
  Sound a song that shall never end,
Within the citadels of bright heaven,
  Amongst myriads as numerous as the dew.
that is still loved :: it pays to love
