Daeth Iesu o'i gariad

Daeth Iesu o'i gariad
  i'r ddaear o'r nef,
Fe'i ganwyd yn faban
  ym Methlehem dref:
Mae hanes amdano
  'n ôl tyfu yn ddyn
yn derbyn plant bychain
  i'w freichiau ei hun.

    Mae'r Iesu yn derbyn
      plant bychain o hyd:
    Hosanna i enw
      Gwaredwr y byd!

Sefydlodd ei deyrnas
  i blant yn y byd,
Agorodd ei fynwes
  i'w derbyn i gyd:
"Gadewch i blant bychain
  ddod ataf," medd ef,
"Cans eiddo y cyfryw
  yw teyrnas y nef."

Pan oedd yn mynd heibio
  i'r ddinas neu'r dref,
Y plant a'u Hosanna
  oedd uchaf eu llef:
'Roedd Iesu yn tynnu
  y plant ato'i hun,
A bendith yn barod
  ar gyfer pob un.

Mae'r Eglwys a'r ddaear
  a'r nefoedd a Duw
Yn noddfa, yn gartref
  i'w cadw yn fyw:
Mae miloedd ar filoedd
   o blant yn y nef
Yn seinio Hosanna
  am byth iddo ef.
y cyfryw :: rhai felly
oedd yn mynd :: elai Ef
A bendith yn barod :: A chanddo'r oedd bendith

Tôn [6565D+6565]: Hosanna/Schubert
    (trefn. o Franz Schubert 1797-1828)

Of his love Jesus came
  to the earth from heaven,
He was born as a baby,
  in the town of Bethlehem:
There is a story about him
  after growing into a man
Receiving little children
  into his own arms.

    Jesus is receiving
      little children still:
    Hosanna to the name
of the Deliverer of the world!

He established his kingdom
  for children in the world,
He opened his breast
  to receive them all:
"Let the little children
  come to me," said he,
"For such possess
  the kingdom of heaven."

When he was going past
to the city or the town,
The children with their Hosanna
  were of a loud voice:
Jesus was drawing
  the children to himself,
And a blessing ready
  for each one.

The Church and the earth
and the heavens and God are
A refuge, and a home
  to keep them alive:
There are thousands upon thousands
  of children in heaven
Sounding Hosanna
  forever to him.
::
he was going :: He would go
With a blessing ready :: And he had a blessing
