Dewch ataf bawb medd Iesu Grist

Come hither all ye weary souls

1,(2),3,4.
(Esmwythder i'r blinderog)
Dewch ataf bawb, medd Iesu Grist,
Sy'n llwythog a blinderog trist,
  Oddiwrth eich poen y'ch esmwythâf,
  A'ch dwyn i'm
      nefol gartref wnaf.

Addfwyn ac isel ydwyf, dewch
Dysgwch genn'i, gorphwysdra cewch;
  Ond dig fel mor
      a rua ar hynt,
  A balchder gwammal yw fel gwynt.

Gwyn fyd y dyn a gym'ro'n fwyn
Fy iau i arno, a hoffi ei dwyn,
  Fy iau sydd esmwyth iawn i hwn,
  A'm gras a ysgafnha ei bwn.

Dymunem Iesu dd'od wrth d'arch,
Mewn ffydd a gobaith, sêl a pharch,
  I roi i'th law 'n hysbrydoedd byw,
  I'w pur hyfforddi
      wrth Air Duw.

[Mesur: MH 8888]

(Relief for the wearied)
Come to me, everyone, says Jesus Christ,
Who is burdened and wearied sad,
  From your pain I will relief you,
  And lead you to my
      heavenly home I shall do.

Meek and lowly am I, come ye
Learn from me, rest ye shall get;
  But anger like a sea
      shall roar on a course,
  And vacillating pride is like wind.

Blessed is the man who takes meekly
My yoke upon him, and loves to bear it,
  My yoke is very easy for him,
  And my grace shall lighten his load.

We wish, Jesus, to come at thy command,
In faith and hope, zeal and reverence,
  To put into thy hand our living spirits,
  For them to be purely trained
      by the Word of God.
tr. 2016,17 Richard B Gillion
(Matthew 11:28-30)
Come hither, all ye weary souls,
  Ye heavy-laden sinners, come;
I'll give you rest from all your toils,
  And raise you to
      My heav'nly home.

They shall find rest that learn of Me;
  I'm of a meek and lowly mind;
But passion rages
    like the sea,
  And pride is restless as the wind.

Blest is the man whose shoulders take
  My yoke, and bear it with delight;
My yoke is easy to his neck,
  My grace shall make the burden light.

Jesus, we come at Thy command;
  With faith, and hope, and humble zeal,
Resign our spirits to Thy hand,
  To mould and guide us
      at Thy will.
