De'wch bellach bechaduriaid

(Galwad at Grist)
De'wch bellach, bechaduriaid,
  Nas gwelodd oleu'r dydd;
Mewn carchar tywyll pygddu,
  Rai eto sydd yn nghudd;
Fe gododd haul o'r diwedd
  Yn ddysglaer ac yn llawn,
Ac egyr eich amrantau
  I wel'd yn hyfryd iawn.

Crynhowch eich holl achwynion,
  Y mwyaf sydd i'w cael,
Cewch yma ddigon, digon
  I'ch ateb fyth yn hael;
'Does dim ond edrych yma,
  Mae edrych yn iachau,
Mae edrych yn sancteiddio,
  Mae edrych yn fwynhau.

Mae edrych, dim ond edrych,
  I ben Calfaria fryn,
Yn tynu ofnau ymaith,
  Yn gwneyd y du yn wyn;
Mae gwel'd y drain plethedig,
  Y dur a'r waewffon,
Yn creu rhyw bur dangnefedd
  Digymhar tan y fron.

Mae'r ffynnon yn agored,
  De'wch edifeiriol rai,
De'wch chwithau yr un ffynud
  Sy'n methu edifarhau;
De'wch gafodd galon newydd,
  De'wch chwithau na cha'dd un
I olchi pob budreddi
  Yn haeddiant Mab y Dyn.

(A Call to Christ)
Come henceforth, sinners,
  Who never saw the light of day;
In a dark, pitch-black prison,
  Some who are still hidden;
The sun rose at last
  Radiant and full,
And your eyelids shall lift
  To see very delightfully.

Gather all your compaints,
  The greatest there are to get,
Here you will get enough, enough
  To answer you forever generously;
There is only looking here,
  Looking is healing,
Looking is sanctifying,
  Looking is enjoying.

Looking, only looking,
  To the top of Calvary hill,
Is taking fears away,
  Making the black white;
Seeing the plaited thorns,
  The steel and the spear,
Is creating some pure, incomparable
  Peace under the breast.

The fount is open,
  Come ye repentant ones,
Come ye the same minute
  Those who are failing to repent;
Come ye who got a new heart,
  Come ye who did not get one
To wash every filthiness
  In the merit of the Son of Man.
