Diolchaf am gael blas

(Atyniad y nef)
Diolchaf am gael blas
  Bendithion dinas Duw,
Yn gân a grym i
    egwan gred,
  Wrth fyned yno i fyw;
Fy Iesu sy'n fy nàl
  Ynghanol anial wlad;
Caf rodio yn Ei oleu cu
  Nes cyrraedd tŷ ein Tad.

Rhag i mi dynnu'n ol
  Caf nefol fywiol faeth;
I'm henaid daw goleuni'r fro
  Sy'n llifo o fêl a llaeth.
Mae'r Ceidwad mawr i mi
  O hyd yn rhoddi'n rhad, -
Mae'n Frenin yn y nefoedd fry,
  Yn harddu tŷ ein Tad.

Mi chwiliais anial gwael
  Am gael trysorau gwell;
Arhosodd Iesu i mi'n ffrind,
  A minnau'n mynd ymhell;
Mae Ef i mi yn Dduw,
  Ac er pob briw a brad,
Mae nerthoedd cariad Ceidwad cu
  I'm tynnu i dŷ ein Tad!

Tôn [MBD 6686D]: Coronamento (J Walch 1837-1901)

(The Attraction of heaven)
I will give thanks for getting a taste
  Of the blessings of the city of God,
As a song with force for
    a weak one to believe,
  While going there to live;
My Jesus is holding me
  In the middle of a desert land;
I may walk in His dear light
  Until reaching our Father's house.

Lest I draw back
  I may get heavenly, lively sustenance;
To my soul comes the light of the vale
  Which is flowing with honey and milk.
The great Saviour is to me
  Always giving graciously, -
He is King in the heavens above,
  Beautifying our Father's house.

O sought the poor desert
  To get better treasures;
Jesus remained as a friend to me,
  And I going far away;
He is God to me,
  And despite every bruise and treachery,
The strengths of my dear Saviour's love
  Are drawing me to our Father's house!
