Duw mawr ymostwng y mae ef

(Fawredd Duw)
Duw mawr, ymostwng y mae ef,
I edrych gwaith
    angylion nef;
  Ei olwg dafla law'r yn llòn,
  I edrych hynt y ddaear hon.

Mae'n goruch-lywodraethu'r byd,
A'n hamgylchiadau ninau gyd;
  Ond i eneidiau difalch prudd,
  Ei ofal a'i gynghorion rydd.

O! n'allai'n calon chwilio i ma's
Ryw deyrnged f'ai
    mor fawr â'th ras;
  I'r drydedd nef
      ein cân gei dd'od,
  I ddysgu i'r aur delynau'th glod.

(God's Greatness)
Great God, bowing he is,
To look at the work
    of the angels of heaven;
  His sight he casts down cheerfully,
  To look at the course of this earth.

He is the supreme governor of the world,
And surrounding us always;
  But to humble, sad souls,
  His care and his counsels he gives.

O that our hearts could seek out
Some tribute that would be
    as great as thy grace;
  That to the third heaven
      our song could come,
  To teach the golden harps thy praise.
