Duw, rho 'mi awel canu,
  Duw, rho 'mi ysbryd bryw;
Os caf fi ond Dy Ysbryd
  Y nefoedd fawr a glyw. 
Dy Ysbryd wna imi seinio
  Nefolaidd gân a sef
Heb flino na diffygio
  Wrth gynnes awel nef.

Dy Ysbryd sy'n diddanu,
  Dy Ysbryd ddaw a gwres,
Dy Ysbryd ddaw a'm henaid
  I'r nefoedd wen yn nes.
Dy Ysbryd sy'n goleuo,
  Dy Ysbryd sy'n bywhau,
Dy Ysbryd sydd yn puro,
  Sancteiddio a dwfwrhau. 

Dy Ysbryd sydd yn cynnal
  Y baban gwan ei ras;
Myfi yw un o'r rheini
  Sy'n ofni colli'r ma's.
Dy Ysbryd sy'n gwasgaru
  Y tew gymylau mawr;
'R wyf finnau 'ngrym yr Ysbryd
  Yngadarn fel y cawr.

Dy Ysbryd sy'n datguddio
  Rhyw hardd drysorau drud
Na chenfydd llygaid natur -
 Cuddiedig iawn i'r byd.
Dy Ysbryd sydd yn ennyn
  Pur gynnes, nefol dan,
Dy Ysbryd pur yn unig
  Sydd yn melysu 'nghan.

God, give me a breeze to sing,
  God, give me a strong spirit;
I if have but Thy Spirit
  The great heavens will hear.
Thy spirit will make me sound
  A heavenly song and stand
Without wearying or tiring
  By the warm breeze of heaven.

It is Thy Spirit who comforts,
  Thy Spirit brings warmth,
Thy Spirit brings my soul
  To the blessed heavens nearly.
It is Thy Spirit who lightens
  Thy Spirit who revives,
Thy Spirit who purifies,
  Sanctifies and waters.

It is Thy Spirit who holds
  The baby weak his (g)race;
I myself am one of those
  Who are afraid of losing the field.
It is Thy Spirit who spreads
  The great, thick clouds;
I myself am strong in the Spirit
  Steadfast like the giant.

It is Thy Spirit who discloses
  Some costly, beautiful treasures
The natural eye will not discern -
  Hidden indeed to the world.
It is Thy Spirit who enkindles
  Pure warmth, heavenly fire,
Thy pure Spirit alone
  Who sweetens my song.
