Duw Tad y trugareddau 'nawr

(Y Sulgwyn)
Duw, Tad y trugareddau, 'nawr
O tywallt o'r uchelder mawr,
I loni'th Eglwys ar y llawr,
  Yr Ysbryd Glân.

Duw Fab, Iachawdwr mawr y byd,
Yr hwn a'n prynaist ni mor ddrud,
O tywallt arnom oll i gyd
  Yr Ysbryd Glân.

Duw Ysbryd Glân, o disgyn Di,
Bywhâ Dy Eglwys, pura hi;
A llenwa ein calonau ni
  A nefol dân.

Iachâ y ddrylliog galon friw,
A golcha'r euog, du ei liw,
Yng ngwaed y pur Gyfryngwr gwiw,
  Dduw Ysbryd Glân.

Braenara'r galed galon fas,
Diwreiddia chwyn ei nwydau cas,
A phlana ynddi hadau gras,
  Dduw Ysbryd Glân.

Pan ddelo temtasiynau byd,
Y cnawd, a'r diafol, oll yng nghyd,
I'n blino, nertha ni bob pryd,
  Dduw Ysbryd Glân.

Tôn [8884]: St Gabriel (F A G Ouseley 1825-89)

(Whit Sunday)
God, the Father of mercies, now
O pour from the great heights,
To cheer thy Church on the earth,
  The Holy Spirit.

God the Son, the world's great Saviour,
He who redeemed us so dearly,
O pour upon us all altogether
  The Holy Spirit.

God the Holy Spirit, o descent Thou,
Revive Thy Church, purify her;
And fill our hearts
  With heavenly fire.

Heal the bruised, broken heart,
And wash the guilty, black its colour,
In the blood of the pure, worthy Mediator,
  God the Holy Spirit.

Rend the hard, shallow heart,
Uproot the weed of its hated lusts,
And plant in it the seeds of grace,
  God the Holy Spirit.

When the temptations come from the world,
The flesh, and the devil, all altogether,
To weary us, strengthen us every time,
  God the Holy Spirit.
