Dy enw mor anfeidrol yw

(Yr Anfeidrol)
Dy enw, mor anfeidrol yw,
  O Arglwydd Dduw y lluoedd;
Diderfyn yw dy nerth a'th ras,
  A'th deyrnas yn oes oesoedd.

Wrth feddwl am ddirgelion maith
  Pob rhan o'th fawrwaith hynod,
Fy ysbryd egwan soddi mae
  Mewn môr didrai o syndod.

Gall ein dych'mygion ffoi uwch sêr,
  Neu fesur dyfnder moroedd;
Ond hanfod Duw sydd ge'nfor pur,
  Lle boddir ein galluoed.

Yn ofer chwydda'm rheswm gwa'l
  Yn ymyl d'amal ddoniau,
'Does yn dy hanfod a dy waith
  Ond mawrfaith ryfeddodau.
Casgliad o Hymnau (Joseph Harris) 1824

Tonau [MS 8787]:
Llanberis (<1824)
Llandaf (<1824)
Priestley (<1824)

(The Immeasurable)
Thy name, so immeasurable it is,
  O Lord God of the hosts;
Endless is thy strength and thy grace,
  And thy kingdom in the age of ages.

On thinking about vast mysteries
  Of every part of thy notable great work,
My weak soul sinking is
  In an unebbing sea of surprise.

Our imaginations can flee above stars,
  Or the measure of the depth of seas;
But the essence of God is a pure ocean,
  Where our abilities are to be drowned.

Vainly swells my base reason
  Beside thy manifold gifts,
There is nothing in thy essence and thy work
  But great, vast wonders.
tr. 2015 Richard B Gillion
