Dyrchafa'th lais mewn cân O Seion

Lift up lift up thy voice with singing

Dyrchafa'th lais mewn cân, O Seion!
  Dyrchafa'th lais
          mewn nerth yn awr,
Daw atat ti deyrnasoedd cryfion,
  Ac yn eu llaw anrhegion mawr.

    O! cyfod Seion, hardd lewyrcha,
      D'oleuni ddaeth, dy Frenin gwêl,
    Ac yn ei wedd yr ymddysgleiria
      Heulwen y mil
              blynyddau mêl.

Dyrchafa'th byrth a dwg dy offrwm,
  Dy Frenin mawr syn d'od o'r nef,
A'i air yn gledd
        i ddifa gorthrwm,
  Brenin brenhinoedd - Crist yw Ef.

Fe ddaw! doed daear i'w addoli;
  Y ffordd a deithiodd yma, yw
Y freiniol ffordd i ni foddloni
  Yr Hwn yw'r bywyd - Crist ein Duw.

Tôn [14.8.14.8+14.8.14.8]: Arise and Shine
    (Philip P Bliss 1838-76)

Lift up thy voice in a song, O Zion!
  Lift up thy voice
          in strength now,
To thee shall come strong kingdoms,
  And in their land great gifts.

    O arise Zion, beautifully shine,
      Thy light came, see thy King,
    And in his countenance shall radiate
      The sun of the
              sweet millennium.

Lift up thy gates and bring thy sacrifice,
  Thy great King is coming from heaven,
With his word as a sword
        to destroy oppression,
  The King of kings - Christ is He.

He comes! let the earth worship him;
  The way he has travelled here, is
The royal road to satisfy us
  He is the life - Christ our God.
tr. 2017 Richard B Gillion
Lift up, lift up thy voice with singing,
  Dear land, with strength
          lift up thy voice!
The kingdoms of the earth are bringing
  Their treasures to thy gates - Rejoice!

    Arise and shine in youth immortal,
      Thy Light is come, thy King appears!
    Beyond the century’s swinging portal,
      Breaks a new dawn -
              the thousand years.

Lift up thy gates! Bring forth oblations!
  One crowned with crowns a message brings:
His Word, a sword
        to smite the nations;
  His name - The Christ, the King of kings.

He comes! Let all the earth adore Him;
  The path His human nature trod
Spreads to a royal realm before Him,
  The Life of life, The Word of God!
1876 Mary A Lathbury 1841-1913
