Edrych wnaf i ben Calfaria

(Crist y Mechnëydd)
Edrych wnaf i ben Calfaria,
  I gael gwel'd fy Mhrynwr mwyn;
Ar y groes yn marw'n foddlon,
  Fel Oen gwirion yn ddi-gwyn;
Dwyn a wnaeth fy holl bechodau,
  Yn ei gorph ar bren y groes;
Talu nyled oll i'r eithaf,
  Pan yn dyoddef angeu loes.

Fe gyflawnodd Crist y gyfraith,
  Llwyr ufudd-dod iddi rhoes;
Ca'dd cyfiawnder gyflawn daliad,
  Trwy ei aberth ar y groes:
'Nawr cyfiawnder a thrugaredd,
  Heddwch a gwirionedd sydd;
'N uno i ollwng pechaduriaid
  O'u caethiwed mawr yn rhydd.

(Christ the Surety)
Look I shall to the summit of Calvary,
  To get to see my dear Redeemer;
On the cross dying willingly,
  Like an innocent Lamb uncomplainingly;
Carry he did all my sins,
  In his body on the wood of the cross;
Pay all my debt to the uttermost,
  When suffering the throes of death.

Christ fulfilled the law,
  Complete obedience to it he gave;
Righteousness got a full payment,
  Through his sacrifice on the cross:
Now righteousness and mercy,
  Peace and truth are
Uniting to release sinners
  From their great captivity free.
