Erglyw, O Dduw, fy llefain i,
  Ac ar fy ngweddi gwrando:
Rhof lef o
    eitha'r ddaear gron,
  A'm calon yn llesmeirio.

Dwg fi i dal-graig uwch na mi,
  Ac iddi bydd i'm derbyn;
Can's craig o obaith, tŵr difost,
  Im' fuost rhag y gelyn.

O fewn dy babell y bydd byth,
  Fy nhrigfan ddilyth ddedwydd;
A'm holl ymddiried a fyn fod
  Yn nghysgod dy adenydd.

Can's clywaist Ti, Dduw, yn glau,
  Fy addunedau puraidd:
Rho'ist etifeddiaeth i bob rhai,
  A ofnai d'Enw sanctaidd.

I Ti, O Dduw, y gweddai mawl
  Yn Dy sancteiddiawl Seion;
I ti y telir, drwy holl gred,
  Bob gwir adduned calon.

Fel hyny y moliannaf fi
  Dy enw di'n dragywydd:
Ac felly peri i mi gwblhau
  Fy addunedau beunydd.

Erglyw, O Dduw, ein llefain ni,
  Ac ar ein ngweddi gwrando;
Rho'wn lef o
    eitha'r ddaear gron,
  A'n calon yn llesmeirio.

Dwg ni i graig fo uwch nā ni,
  Ac iddi bydd i'n derbyn;
Ein tŵr wyt ti, un cadarn, da,
  A'n noddfa rhag y gelyn.

O fewn dy babell bydded byth,
  Ein trigfan ddilyth ddedwydd;
A'n holl ymddiried fynno fod
  Dan gysgod dy adenydd.

Listen, O God, to my crying out,
  And to my prayer listen!
I will give a cry from
    the extremity of the round earth,
With my heart fainting.

Draw me to a rock higher than I,
  And to it may I be received;
Since a rock of hope, a reliable tower, 
  To me thou hast been against my enemies.

Within thy tent will be forever,
  My unfailing, happy residence;
And all my trust will insist on being
  In the shadow of thy wings.

Since thou didst hear, Lord, quickly,
  My pure vows:
Thou gavest an inheritance to all those,
  Who fear thy holy Name.

To Thee, O God, praise is fitting,
  In Thy holy Zion;
To Thee will be paid, through all faith,
  Every true vow of a heart.

Thus will I praise
  Thy name eternally:
And thus continue to fulfill
  My daily vows.

  And to our prayer listen;
We give a cry from
    the extremity of the round earth,

Our tower art thou, a strong, good one,
  And our refuge against the enemy.

Within thy tent forever may,
  Our unfailing, happy dwelling-place be;
And all our trust insist on being
  In the shadow of thy wings.

1 Lord, hear my cry, regard my pray'r, 
    which I, oppressed with grief,
2 From earth's remotest
      parts address 
    to thee for kind relief.

  O lodge me safe beyond the reach
    of persecuting pow'r;
3 Thou, who so oft from spiteful foes
    hast been my shelt'ring tow'r.

4 So shall I in thy sacred courts
    secure from danger lie;
  Beneath the cover of thy wings
    all future storms defy.

5 In sign my vows are heard, once more
    I o'er thy chosen reign;
6 O bless with long and prosp'rous life
    the king thou did'st ordain,

7 Confirm his throne, and make his reign
    accepted in thy sight,
  And let thy truth and mercy both
    in his defence unite.

8 So shall I ever sing thy praise,
    thy name for ever bless;
  Devote my prosp'rous days to pay
    the vows of my distress.
