Er fod Lazarus farw yn wael a salw'i wedd, Gorchymyn Crist er hyny a'i dug e i fynu o'i fedd; Fe all orchymyn etto i minnau ddeffro i dd'od I ganu am drugaredd, a'i rhinwedd tan y rhod. O danfon dy orchymyn i droi y gelyn draw, Sydd beunydd yn cyhuddo i'n briwo gyd â braw; A bwrw'n hollol allan y colyn aflan cas, Sy'n attal i'm dangnefedd o rinwedd mawr ei ras. Y Diafol sydd yn ymladd, rhag myn'd o'n neuadd ni, Er hyn rhaid iddo gychwyn os daw d'orchymyn di; Mawr allu dy orchymyn a'i denfyn byth o'i dŷ, Na chaffo mwy lywodraeth yn bennaeth fel y bu. Mae yn d'orchymyn rinwedd i godi o'i fedd yn fyw, Un marw yn ei gamwedd, a'i ddwyn at orsedd Duw; I dderbyn hedd a'i arbed, trwy nodded Tri yn Un, A'i ddwyn i gyd feddiannu â'r teulu fry'n gyttun.Edward Jones 1761-1836 [Mesur: 13.13.13.13] |
Although Lazarus was dead poor and sick his condition, The command of Christ despite this brought his up from his grave; He can command still me to awake to come To sing about mercy, and his merit under the sky. O send thy command to turn yonder enemy, Who is daily accusing to hurt us with terror; An cast completely out the unclean, detestable sting, Which is impeding my peace from the great merit of his grace. The Devil is attacking, against our going from our hall, Despite this he must depart if thy command come; The great power of thy command shall send him forever from thy house, He will have no more authority as chief as he was. In thy command there is virtue to raise from his grave alive, A dead one in his transgression, and bring him to God's throne; To receive peace and save him, through the protection of the Three in One, And bring him to possess all with the family above in agreement.tr. 2015 Richard B Gillion |
