Er geni heddyw ddyn i'r byd,
  Mewn bywyd i anadlu,
Rhaid myn'd i'r bedd o'r man y b'o,
  At feirwon etto 'fory.

Mae dyn fel gwyw lysieuyn gwan,
  Mor fuan mae'n diflanu!
Blodeua heddyw'n deg ei wedd,
  Ond yn y bedd yfory.

Os yw dy fore'n hyfryd iawn
  Hi ddaw'n drynhawn er hynny:
O f'enaid annwyl, meddwl di
  Ymhle y byddi 'fory.

Pe meddwn barch
    a moddion byd,
  A phawb i'm cyd-ddyrchafu,
Ac eistedd heddyw wrth y wledd,
  Rhaid mynd i'r bedd yfory.

Yn noeth y daethom bawb i'r byd,
  Heb degwch pryd na gallu:
Y modd y daethom, felly'r awn,
  A'n lle adawn yfory.

Ein doe aeth heibio fel ffrwd gref
  Ni welwn ef ond hyny;
Ansicr hefyd ŷm ar daith,
  Y gwelwn chwaith yfory.

Mae etto dranoeth mawr i dd'od
  Anwybod i'w wynebu;
Gwae fydd i ni o golli'r gamp,
  Os metha'n lamp yfory.

Ymdrechwn heddyw 'mhlaid y ffydd,
  Mae'n dydd yn min diweddu;
Rhy hwyr, ond odid, ar y daith,
  Fydd dechreu'r gwaith yfory.

Mae heddyw bleidiau yn ein plith,
  A rhai yn rhith broffesu,
A rhagor mawr rhwng gau a gwir,
  Ar fyr a welir 'fory.

Y rhai sydd heddyw yn eu hoes
  Dan loes yn dilyn Iesu,
Yn ddiwael dorf ar ddelw Duw,
  Hwy fyddant fyw yfory.

Er griddfan heddyw dan y baich,
  A dynol fraich yn pallu;
Nid yw ond byr dymhestlog ddydd,
  Tragwyddol fydd yfory.

(Today and tomorrow)
Although was born today a man to the world,
  In life to breathe,
He must go to the grave from the place he be,
  To the dead again tomorrow.

Man is like a withered herb weak,
  So soon he disappears!
He flourishes today with a fair appearance,
  But in the grave tomorrow.

If thy morning is very pleasant
  It becomes afternoon despite this:
O my dear soul, think thou
  Where thou wilt be tomorrow.

If I possessed the honour
    and means of the world,
  And everyone to exalt me together,
And sit today at the feast,
  I must go to the grave tomorrow.

Naked we all came into the world,
  Without fairness of face or ability:
The way we came, thus shall we go,
  And we shall leave our place tomorrow.

Our yesterday went past like a strong stream
  We shall not see it but this;
Unsure also are we on a journey,
  Of seeing tomorrow either.

There is still the great next day to come
  Unknown to be faced;
Woe will be to us from losing the contest,
  If the lamp fails tomorrow.

Let us struggle today on behalf of the faith,
  The day is about to end;
Too late, probably, on the journey,
  It will be to begin the work tomorrow.

There are today parties on our side,
  And some pretending to profess,
And many more between falsehood and truth,
  Shortly to be seen tomorrow.

Those who are today in their lifespan
  Under pain following Jesus,
Not a meagre throng in the image of God,
  They shall be alive tomorrow.

Although groaning today under the burden,
  And a human arm failing;
Only short shall be the tempestuous day,
  Eternal shall be tomorrow.
Man is like :: And man like
Flourishes :: Appears
But in the grave :: And in the grave

Woe will be to us from :: Woe! woe will be to us
Let us struggle :: Make an effort
