Esgyn gyda'r lluoedd
  Fry i fynydd Duw,
Tynnu tua'r nefoedd,
  Bywyd f'enaid yw.

Esgyn i'r uchelion,
  Gyda'r dwyfol waith;
Canu addewidion
  Wnawn ar hyd y daith.

Yfwn o ffynhonnau
  Gloywon ddyfroedd byw
Wrth fynd dros y bryniau
  Tua mynydd Duw.

Dringwn fel ein tadau
  Dros y creigiau serth;
Canwn megis hwythau,
  "Awn o nerth i nerth."

Pan wyf ar ddiffygio,
  Gweld y ffordd yn faith,
Duw sydd wedi addo
  Cymorth ar y daith.

Wedi'r holl dreialon,
  Wedi cario'r dydd,
Cwrdd ar Fynydd Seion,
  O mor felys fydd.

To rise with the hosts
  Above to the mountain of God,
To depart above the heavens,
  Is the life of my soul.

[To rise to the heights,
  With the divine work;
Sing promises
  Let us do along the journey.]

Let us drink from the springs
  Of bright, living waters
While going over the hills
  To the mountain of God.

Let us climb like our fathers
  Over the steep rocks;
Singing like they,
  "Let us go from strength to strength."

When I am about to be exhausted,
  See the way broad,
It is God who has promised
  Help on the journey.

After all the trials,
  After carrying the day,
To meet on Mount Zion,
  O how sweet it will be.
