Fe dalodd Iesu'r dyled drud
Fe dalodd swm y ddyled ddrud

Fe dalodd Iesu'r dyled drud
Dros fyrdd ag sydd heb ddod i'r byd;
  Pan welo rhai'n rinweddau'i glwy',
  Fyth canu iddo fyddant hwy.

Pan clywo'r Indiaid draw am loes
Creawdwr nefoedd ar y groes,
  Rhinweddau hygryd marwol glwy'
  Fydd sylwedd eu caniadau hwy.

O na foed ardal cyn bo hir,
O'r dwyrain draw i'r dehau dir,
  Na byddo'r iechydwriaeth ddrud
  Yn llanw cyrrau rhai'n i gyd.

Boed Iesu â'i annherfynol stôr
Yn llanw'r tir, yn llanw'r môr,
  Ei ddoniau maith, a'i gariad drud,
  Yn sylfaen cysur
      pawb o'r byd.

Dewch, addewidion, dewch yn awr,
Dihidlwch eich trysorau lawr;
  Myrddiynau ar fyrddiynau sydd
  Yn disgwyl am eich bore ddydd.

Jesus paid the costly debt
For a myriad who have not come into the world;
  When some see the virtues of his wound,
  Sing forever to him they will.

When the distant Indians hear about the anguish
Of the Creator of heaven on the cross,
  The delightful merits of a mortal wound
  Shall be the substance of their song.

O that a region would be before long,
From the distant East to the South land,
  That the costly salvation be
  Filling the corners of them all.

May Jesus with his endless store be
Filling the land, filling the sea,
  His vast gifts, and his costly love,
  A foundation of comfort
      of everyone of the world.

Come, promises, come now,
Drop your treasures down;
  Myriads upon myriads are
  Waiting for your dawning day.
