Fe dderfydd cystuddiau a thristwch a gwae

Fe dderfydd cystuddiau,
    a thristwch, a gwae,
Y bobl y maddeuodd
    yr Arglwydd eu bai;
  Er gwyntoedd gwrth'nebus,
      tra f'ont yn y byd,
  Hwy ddygir i'r hafan
      dymunol i gyd.

Mae'r haulwen yn dirwyn
    ein hamser i ben,
Rho'wn ffarwel i'r ddaear,
    ehedwn i'r nen;
  Dibrisiwn holl fawredd
      a gwagedd y byd,
  Mae'r Oen a fu farw
      yn well nâ hwy gyd.

Ffarwell i anrhydedd
    a mawredd y llawr,
Yn noeth ni fordwn
    oddi yma ryw awr;
  Cydwybod beddychol
      sydd well yn ddible,
  Nâ'r cwbl a welir
      i gyd îs y ne'.

Mae'n Alpha, 'n Omega,
    yn Gyfaill bob dydd,
Dechreuwr, ac Awdwr,
    Perffeithydd ein ffydd;
  Mae'n berffaith Iachawdwr
      i bob gwahanglwyf,
  Mae bywyd tra'wyddol
      y saint yn ei glwyf.

Brawd erbyn caledi
    a aned i'r gwan,
Ei Gyfaill yn angeu,
    ei Fywyd a'i Ran;
  Ei berffaith Arweinydd
      trwy ddyfroedd a thân,
  Ne's dyfod i'r bywyd
      trag'wyddol yn lân.

I'r Tad, Mab a'r Ysbryd,
    y Tri yn un Duw,
Gogoniant a gallu
    rhown holl dynolryw,
  Am achub trueiniad
      a'u dygid i'r lan,
  I'r unrhyw orseddfa
      ag ef yn y man.

[Mesur: 11.11.11.11]

The afflictions shall vanish,
    and the sadness, and the woe,
Of the people of whom
    God forgave their fault;
  Despite contrary winds,
      while they be in the world,
  They are all to be led
      into the desired harbour.

The sunshine is winding
    our time up,
Let us bid farewell to the earth,
    let us fly to the sky;
  Let us disregard all the majesty
      and the vanity of the world,
  The Lamb who died is
      better than them all.

Farewell to the honour
    and the majesty of the earth,
Naked we shall sail
    from here some hour;
  A conscience at peace
      is better anywhere,
  Than all that is to be
      seen under heaven.

He is Alpha, Omega,
    a Friend every day,
Originator, and Author,
    the Perfector of our faith;
  He is a perfect Saviour
      to every leper,
  There is the eternal life
      of the saints in his wound.

A Brother against harship
    who was born for the weak,
His Friend in death,
    his Life and his Portion;
  His perfect Guide
      through the waters and fire,
  Until coming to the eternal
      life completely.

To the Father, Son and the Spirit,
    the Three in one God,
Glory and power
    let the whole of us humankind render,
  For saving wretches
      and bringing them up,
  To the same throne
      as him soon.
tr. 2016 Richard B Gillion
