Fy Archoffeiriad nerthol 'nawr

("Fel yr Adnabyddwyf Ef")
Fy Archoffeiriad nerthol 'nawr
  Yw Iesu mawr bendigaid,
Trwy 'nabod ef,
    gwir gymod ca',
  A noddfa i fy enaid.

Ei 'nabod ef bob awr fwy-fwy,
  Yw'r cwbl 'rwy'n ei geisio;
A thra b'wyf yn bererin byd,
  Mi ro'f fy ngoglyd ynddo.

Ac wrth fyn'd trwy'r Iorddonen draw,
  Bydd ef â'i law yn ddigon;
Ei 'nabod ef yn gyfaill caf,
  Ac yna bloeddiaf "Digon".

Er angeu glas, er uffern drist,
  Mae gallu Crist yn nerthol;
Ei 'nabod ef a'i ddwyfol ras,
  Fe'm dwg i'r deyrnas nefol.

("That I may Know Him")
My strong High Priest now
  Is great, blessed Jesus,
Through knowing him,
    true reconciliation I have,
  And a refuge for my soul.

To know him more and more every hour,
  Is all that I am seeking;
And while I am a world's pilgrim,
  I wil put my trust in him.

And while going through yonder Jordan,
  He and his hand shall be sufficient;
To know him as a friend I shall get,
  And there I shall shout, "Sufficient!"

Despite utter death, despite sad hell,
  Christ's power is strong;
Knowing him and his divine grace,
  Shall bring me to the heavenly kingdom.
tr. 2023 Richard B Gillion
