Fy enaid bendithia yr Arglwydd

(Emyn diolch)
Fy enaid, bendithia yr Arglwydd,
  A chofia'i holl ddoniau o hyd,
Maddeuodd dy holl anwireddau,
  Iachaodd dy lesgedd i gyd;
Gwaredodd dy fywyd o ddistryw,
  Â gras y coronodd dy ben,
Diwallodd dy fwrdd â daioni:
  Atseinier ei fawl hyd y nen.

Trugarog a graslawn yw'r Arglwydd,
  Hwyrfrydig i lid i roi lle;
Nid byth y mae'n cadw digofaint,
  Nid byth yr ymryson efe;
Fel tad wrth ei blant
    y tosturia,
  Mae'n cofio mai llwch ydynt hwy;
O f'enaid, bendithia yr Arglwydd,
  Bendithia yr Arglwydd byth mwy.

(A hymn of thanks)
My soul, bless the Lord,
  And remember all his gifts always,
He forgave all thy falsehoods,
  He healed all thy debility;
He delivered thy life from ruin,
  With grace he crowned thy head,
He satisfied thy table with goodness:
  His praise is to resounded up to the sky.

Merciful and full of grace is the Lord,
  Reluctant his anger to take place;
Not forever will he keep wrath,
  Not forever his contention;
Like a father towards his children
    he will have mercy,
  He remembers that dust are they;
O my soul, bless the Lord,
  Bless the Lord for evermore.
tr. 2010 Richard B Gillion
~
My soul, bless the Lord for his goodness
  And call all his mercies to mind:
For all thy deceit he forgives thee
  And puts all thy weakness behind,
Deliv'ring thy life from destruction,
  Thy head with his grace he has crowned,
His goodness has furnished thy table;
  Let heaven his praises resound.

The Lord is forgiving and gracious
  And eager his vengeance to stay,
And never sustaining his anger,
  Contention was never his way:
As Father, he pities
    his children;
  He knows they are creatures of clay.
My soul, bless the Lord for his mercies;
  O, bless him yet more every day.
