Fy mugail yw Duw'r nef

1,2,3,4,(5),6.
(Yr Arglwydd yw fy Mugail)
Fy mugail yw Duw'r nef;
  Fe edrych ef am danaf:
Fy eiddo yw, a'i eiddo wyf;
  Pa eisieu mwy fydd arnaf?

Fe'm dwg i'r lleoedd da,
  Lle tyf y borfa nefol;
Lle llifa iachawdwriaeth lawn,
  A'r dyfroedd rhadlawn bywiol.

Os crwydraf yn ddibaid,
  Yn ol fy enaid geilw;
Ac arwain fi yn llwybrau'r praidd,
  Er mwyn ei sanctaidd enw.

Tra rhoddo'i gymhorth im',
  Nid allaf ddim arswydo:
Wrth fyn'd trwy gysgod angeu caf
  Fy Mugail gydaf yno.

Er gwaethaf fy holl gas,
  Fy mwrdd yn fras gosodaist;
O'th fendith llawn yw'm phiol hon,
  A'm pen yn llon dyrchefaist.

Haelioni'th gariad di
  A gaiff goroni 'nyddiau:
O fewn dy dŷ, y gwnaf fy hawl,
  I ganu mawl dy wyrthiau.

[Haelioni'i gariad cu

 O fewn ei dŷ y ceisiaf hawl,
   A chanaf fawl ei wyrthiau.]

(the Lord is my Shepherd)
My Shepherd is the God of heaven;
  He looks upon me:
He is mine, and I am his;
  What more need shall I have?

He leads me to the good places,
  Where grows the heavenly pasture;
Where flows full salvation,
  And the gentle, living waters.

If I wander ceaselessly,
  After my soul he will call;
And lead me in the flock's paths,
  For the sake of his holy name.

While ever he gives his help to me,
  I cannot fear anything:
While going through death's shadow I will have
  My Shepherd with me there.

Despite all my enemies,
  My table sumptuously thou hast set;
Of thy blessing is this cup of mine full,
  And my head cheerfully thou hast raised.

The generosity of thy love
  Will get to crown my days:
Within thy house, I will make my claim,
  To sing the praise of thy wonders.

 Within his house I will seek a claim,
   And I shall sing the praise of his wonders.]

tr. 2010 Richard Gillion

~
My Shepherd is the living Lord;
Now shall my wants be well supplied;
His providence and holy Word
Become my safety and my guide.

In pastures where salvation grows
He makes me feed, He makes me rest;
There living water gently flows,
And all the food’s divinely blest.

My wandering feet His ways mistake,
But He restores my soul to peace,
And leads me, for His mercy’s sake,
In the fair paths of righteousness.

Though I walk through the gloomy vale
Where death and all its terrors are,
My heart and hope shall never fail,
For God my Shepherd’s with me there.

Amidst the darkness and the deeps,
Thou art my comfort, Thou my stay;
Thy staff supports my feeble steps,
Thy rod directs my doubtful way.

The sons of earth, and sons of hell,
Gaze at Thy goodness, and repine
To see my table spread so well
With living bread and cheerful wine.

How I rejoice when on my head
Thy Spirit condescends to rest!
'Tis a divine anointing, shed
Like oil of gladness at a feast.

Surely the mercies of the Lord
Attend His household all their days;
There will I dwell to hear His Word,
To seek His face, and sing His praise.

[Surely the mercies of the Lord
   Attend His household all their days;
 There will I dwell to hear His Word,
   To seek His face, and sing His praise.]
