Fy nghalon a fawr lawenha'i

Fy nghalon a fawr lawenha'i
  Pan dd'wedai rhai'n awyddus,
"I Seion brysiwn yn ddiludd
  I gadw'r dydd cyhoeddus."

'Rwy'n caru'i phyrth a'i phrif-ffordd hi;
  Mae'r eglwys wedi llunio,
Fel nefol lŷs a wnaed i Dduw,
  A'i wyneb gwiw ceir yno.

I'w llysoedd hi, a mawl a chân,
  Daw'r llwythau glân
      siriol-wedd:
Mab Dafydd ar ei orsedd lon,
  Mewn barn ar hon sy'n eistedd.

'Fe wrendy'n mawl a'n
    cwyn a'n cais,
  A thra b'o'i lais arwswydol,
Yn rhannu'r drwg oddi wrth y da,
  Fe lawenhâ pob duwiol.

O fewn ei llysoedd heddwch boed,
  Llawenydd doed i'w llenwi;
Pob duwiol rôdd, a nefol râd
  I'r sawl fo'n gwarchad ynddi.

Tros Seion mi weddiaf byth
  Am iddi'n ddilyth ffynu;
Can's yno mae fy mrodyr gwiw,
  A'm Ceidwad Duw'n teyrnasu.

My heart would greatly rejoice
  When some said eagerly,
"To Zion let us hurry untiringly
  To keep the public day."

I love her gates and her highways;
  The church has been designed,
Like a heavenly court made for God,
  Whose worthy face is found there.

To her courts, with praise and song,
  Come the holy tribes
      with glad face:
The Son of David on his cheerful throne,
  In judgment on this is sitting.

He will hear our praise, and our
    complaint and our request,
  And while his voice be terrifying,
Separating the evil from the good,
  He will make all the godly rejoice.

Within her courts let there be peace,
  Let joy come to fill her;
Every godly gift, and heavenly grace
  To those who be a guard in her.

For Zion I will pray forever
  For her unfailingly to prosper;
Since there are my worthy brothers,
  And my Saviour God reigning.
tr. 2017 Richard B Gillion
(Psalm 122)
1 I was glad when they said unto me,
  Let us go into the house of the LORD.

2 Our feet shall stand within
  thy gates, O Jerusalem.

3 Jerusalem is builded as a city
  that is compact together:

4 Whither the tribes go up,
  the tribes of the LORD,
  unto the testimony of Israel,
  to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.

5 For there are set thrones of judgment,
  the thrones of the house of David.

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
  they shall prosper that love thee.

7 Peace be within thy walls,
  and prosperity within thy palaces.

8 For my brethren and companions' sakes,
  I will now say, Peace be within thee.

9 Because of the house of the LORD
  our God, I will seek thy good.
Authorized (King James) Version 1611
