Gorwedodd Crist Iachawdwr byd

(Bedydd)
Gorwedodd Crist, Iachawdwr byd,
  Dan oerllwm weryd marwol;
Gadawodd hefyd, dwyfol Ion
  Fedd eigion yn fuddugol!

Disgynodd Duw at Adda dad
  Ar ddisglair doriad gwawrddydd;
O'i fedd esgynodd Iesu gwyn
  O'i gladdiad cyn goleuddydd.

Ac iawn i minnau ufuddhau
  Gan ddilyn camrau f'Arglwydd;
O weithred Iesu'r uchaf wr
  Mewn bedydd dw'r rho'ed arwydd.

Fy medydd boed yn atteb oll
  Ei fawr a'i ddigoll fwriad:
A chladder fy euogrwydd trist
  Ym meddrod Crist fy Ngheidwad.

Bedyddia fi ā'r Yspryd Glān
  Boed duwiol anian ynof;
Nes ca'el drwy nerthol ras y nef
  Fy hunan gref o honof.

I brofi purdeb cywir ffydd
  Uwch caerau'r dydd
      sy'n esgyn,
Ufudd-dod gras
    ar sylfaen gref
  Mae Brenhin nef yn ofyn.

Arwyddo bywyd a glanhad
  Mae'r ordinhad sancteiddiaf;
Ar adgyfodiad mawr a fydd
  Pan ddelo'r dydd diweddaf.

Mae'r impiad hwn yn rhoddi hawl
  I bob gweinyddawl freintiau;
Yn Eglwys Crist
    trwy undeb fydd
  Bob nos a dydd hyd angau.

O 'stad o bechod fel o'r bedd,
  Daearen llygredd diras
Cyfoder fi, drwy ras i fyw
  Yn nheyrnas wiw 'r Messias.

(Baptism)
Christ, the world's Saviour, lay
  Under the cold deathly soil;
The divine Lord also left
  The depths of a grave victorious!

God descended to father Adam
  At the radiant break of dawn;
From his grave ascended blessed Jesus
  From his burial before daylight.

And right for me to obey
  By following the steps of my Lord;
From the action of Jesus the highest man
  In baptism of water a sign was given.

Let my baptism be all responding to
  His great and his unfailing intention:
And may my sad guilt be buried
  In the tomb of Christ my Saviour.

Baptise me with the Holy Spirit
  May a divine nature be in me;
Until through heaven's strong grace,
  Becoming strong myself.

To experience the true purity of faith
  Above the fields of the day
      that is ascending,
The obedience of grace
    on a strong foundation
  The King of heaven is demanding.

Signifying life and cleansing
  Is the most sacred ordinance;
On the great resurrection that shall be
  When the last day comes.

This grafting gives the right
  To all the privileges of service;
In the Church of Christ
    through the unity of faith
  Every night and day until death.

From the state of sin, as from the grave,
  Of corrupt, graceless earth,
I shall be raised, through grace to live
  In the worthy kingdom of the Messiah.
