Gwyneb grasol Iesu gwỳn, fyddo'n gwenu Ar fy enaid yn y glyn, rhag fy maglu, Anghrediniaeth, cadw yn ol, rho gysuron, Cymer Iesu, fi'n dy gol, dros yr afon. Ond cael gwenau Iesu gwyn, mi orchfyga, Ac a ganaf yn y glyn, Haleluah, Marwol goncwest Calfari, fydd fy nhestyn, Dwyfol gariad, Un yn Dri, maith diderfyn. Cariad mawr anfeidrol yw, haedd ei gofio Iesu'n marw i mi gael byw, diolch iddo, Fe ddyoddefodd galed gur, dan yr hoelion, Dan ei fron – ei dori â dur, rhwng y lladron. Fe ddibenodd Iesu ei daith, yn fendithiol, Cyflawnodd Ef ei orchwyl maith, dros ryw ddynol. Iawn digonol ynddo gaed, dros euogion, Cannu'n wynion yn ei waed, mae llofruddion.Morris Davies, Penygarnedd. Llyfr Emynau 1837 [Mesur: 11.11.11.11] |
May the gracious face of blessed Jesus, be smiling Upon my soul in the vale, lest I trip up, Unbelief, keep back, give comforts, Take, Jesus, me in thy bosom, across the river. If only I get the smiles of blessed Jesus, I shall overcome, And shall sing in the vale, Hallelujah! The mortal conquest of Calvary, shall be my theme, The divine love, of One in Three, vastly endless. Great, immeasurable love it is, that deserves remembering Jesus dying for me to get to live, thanks to him, He suffered a hard beating, under the nails, Under his breast - his breaking with steel, between the thieves. Jesus concluded his journey, blessedly, He fulfilled his vast task, for human kind; Sufficient atonement in him is found, for guilty ones, Bleaching white in his blood, are murderers.tr. 2023 Richard B Gillion |
