Gawn ni fynd i'r Nef i ganu?

Gawn ni fynd i'r Nef i ganu,
  Canu'n un gymanfa gref,
Am rinweddau'r anwyl Iesu,
  Gyda gorfoleddus lef?
Ni ddaw yno boen na blinder,
 Na chystuddiau o un rhyw,
Pawb yn moli heb un pryder
  Yno'n swn afonydd Duw.

Gawn ni fynd i'r Nef i ganu
  Anthem y tragwyddol hedd,
Yng nghymdeithas bur yr Iesu,
  Wedi ysbrydoli'n gwedd?
Cofio yno yr haeddiannau
  Brynwyd ar Galfaria fryn,
Ac angherddol ddylanwadau
  Cariad Duw tra'n rhodio'r Glyn.

Gawn ni fynd i'r Nef i ganu?
  Cawn, wrth ddilyn goleu'r Nef,
A'n bucheddau wedi'u gwynnu
  Gan ei ddoniau anwyl Ef.
Awn yn ddyogel tua'r hafan,
  Y mae bryniau'r wlad gerlaw;
Fe ddaw peraroglau Canaan
  Gyda'r awel fwyn o draw.
D J Lewis, Cilybebyll.

gwelir: Gawn ni fynd i'r nef i ganu (Canu am ...) ?

May we go to Heaven to sing,
  Sing as one strong assembly,
About the virtues of the beloved Jesus,
  With a jubilant cry?
There will come no pain or exhaustion,
  Nor afflictions of any kind,
Everyone praising without any worry
There in the sound of the rivers of God.

May we go to Heaven to sing
  The anthem of eternal peace,
In the pure company of Jesus,
  Having our countenance inspired?
To remember there the merits
  Purchased on Calvary hill,
And the undying influences
Of the love of God while we roam the Vale.

May we go to heaven to sing?
We may, by following Heaven's light,
With our lifestyles having been whitened
  By His beloved gifts.
We will go safely towards the harbour,
  The mountains of the land ar at hand;
The aromas of Canaan come
With the gentle breeze from yonder.
tr. 2015 Richard B Gillion
