Gawn ni fynd i'r nef i ganu? (Canu'n am ...)

Gawn ni fynd i'r nef i ganu,
  Canu am y cariad rhad;
Canu clodydd mwyn y Ceidwad,
  Yn nghynteddau tŷ ein Tad?
Pwy all ganu fel pererin
  Wedi cyrhaedd pen y daith,
Pan orphwysa ar y bryniau,
  Ar ol ofnau'r anial maith?

Awn, ni awn i'r nef i ganu,
  Canu'n uwch na'r engyl glân,
Canu nes bo'r nef yn adsain,
  Heb byth ddiwedd ar y gân:
Nodau llon yw'r oll o'r gyngan
  Yn y wlad uwch poen a chlwy;
O dan gysgod pren y bywyd
  Ni fydd neb yn marw mwy.

Tôn: Gawn ni fynd i'r nef i ganu? (W J Hughes)

gwelir: Gawn ni fynd i'r nef i ganu (Canu'n un ...)

May we go to Heaven to sing,
  Sing about the gracious love;
Sing the dear praises of the Saviour,
  In the courts of our Father's house?
Who can sing like a pilgrim
  Having reached the destination,
When resting on the hills,
  After the fears of the vast desert?

Yes, we shall go to heaven to sing,
  Sing louder than the holy angels,
Sing until heaven resounds,
  With never any end to the song:
Cheerful notes are all of the strain
  In the land above pain and wound;
Under the shadow of the tree of life
  None shall ever die any more.
tr. 2019 Richard B Gillion
Shall we go to heavn'n's bright mansions,
  There to swell the song of love,
Singing praises to the Saviour
  In our Father's courts above?
Who can sing as sings the pilgrim,
  When his pilgrimage is o'er,
As he rests upon the hillside,
  Free from dangers evermore?

When we go to heaven's bright mansions,
  Louder than th'angelic throng
We shall sing, till heaven re-echoes
  The sweet accents of our song.
Joyous strains will form the anthem
  In the land so fair on high,
Where the tree of life shall shelter
  Those who nevermore shall die!
