Gwaed a chyfiawnder Iesu cu

Jesu thy blood and righteousness

Gwaed a chyfiawnder Iesu cu
Yn ymffrost llawn fy enaid i, -
  Anfeidrol rinwedd
      gwaed y Gro's
A fydd fy nhestun ddydd a nos.

Y difrycheulyd addfwyn Oen,
Yr hwn ddioddefodd farwol boen,
A roes ei einioes yn fy lle,
  I'm dwyn o'r byd
      i deyrnas ne'.

Pe bai troseddwyr
    fwy eu rhif
Na'r tywod mân
    ar lan y llif,
Dros bob pechadur dan y nen
  Mi greda i'r Oen
      ogwyddo'i ben.

Pan gryno braisg
    golofnau'r byd,
Pan ymddattodo'r dda'r i gyd,
A'i thegwch oll yn ulw mân,
  Clodforaf fyth yr Iesu glân.

Pan godi wnaf o lwch y llawr
Ar fore'r adgyfodiad mawr,
Hyn fydd fy ymffrost i a'm ple,
"Yr Oen fu farw yn fy lle."

Fel hyn wnâ Abra'm, cyfaill Duw
Fel hyn wna lluoedd nefoed wiw;
  Addefant Grist
      Iachawdwr byd
  A'i prynodd hwy
      a gwerth mor ddrűd.

Daw seintiau'r llawr
    a seintiau'r nef
I foli'r Oen byth
    a'r un llef,
  Ni flinant ar
      yr hyfryd waith
  I eitha trag'wyddoldeb maith.

gwelir:
Iesu dy waed a'th haeddiant gwiw
  Y difrycheulyd addfwyn Oen

The blood and righteousness of dear Jesus
A full boast of my soul, -
The immeasurable merit of the blood
      of the Cross
Shall be my theme day and night.

The spotless, gentle Lamb,
He who suffered mortal pain,
Gave his life in my place,
To bring me from the world
      to the kingdom of heaven.

If there were transgressors
    of greater number
Than the fine sand
on the shore of the flood,
For every sinner under the sky
  I believe the Lamb
      would have bowed his head.

When the sturdy pillars
    of the world tremble,
When all the earth comes apart,
And all its fairness to fine ashes,
I shall extol forever the holy Jesus.

When I rise from the dust of the ground
On the morning of the great resurrection,
This shall be my boast and my plea,
"The Lamb who died in my place."

Thus shall Abraham, the friend of God, do
Thus shall the hosts of worthy heaven do;
  They shall profess Christ
      the Saviour of the world
  Who redeemed them
      with a price so costly.

Saints of earth and saints
    of heaven shall come
To praise the Lamb forever
    with the same cry,
  They shall not tire of
      the delightful work
To the end of a vast eternity.
tr. 2016,18 Richard B Gillion
Jesu, thy blood and righteousness,
My beauty are, my glorious dress,
  'Midst flaming worlds
      in these arrayed,
With joy shall I lift up my head.

The holy, the unspotted Lamb,
Who from the Father's bosom came,
Who died, for me, even me, to atone,
  Now for my Lord
      and God I own.

Lord, I believe,
    were sinners more
Than sands upon
    the ocean-shore,
For all Thou hast the ransom given,
Purchased for all
     peace, life, and Heaven.

When from the dust of death I rise
To claim my mansion in the skies,
Even then, this shall be all my plea,
"Jesus hath lived, hath died for me."

Thus Abraham, the friend of God,
Thus all heaven's armies
    bought with blood,
  Saviour of sinners
      Thee proclaim;
Sinners, of whom the chief I am.

Then shall Heaven's hosts
    with loud acclaim
Give praise and glory
    to the Lamb,
  Who bore our sins,
      and by His blood
Hath made us kings and priests to God.
