Gwel yn ei fywyd sanctaidd ef

Gwel yn ei fywyd sanctaidd ef
  Y ffordd i'r Nef yn barod;
Ac yn ei hynod farwol loes
  Y tâl a ro'es dros bechod!

Yn ei ddyrchafiad at y Tad,
  Gwêl brofiad diamheuol,
O anfarwoldeb, (hyfryd wedd)
  Tu draw i'r Bedd dinystriol!

See in his holy life
  The way to Heaven ready;
And in his notable mortal anguish
  The payment he made for sin!

In his ascension to the Father,
  See an undeniable proof,
Of immortality, (delightful countenance)
  Beyond the destructive Grave!
