Gwyn fyd y neb maddeuant ga's, Trwy ddwyfol ras, o'i drosedd; Y dyn y cuddiwyd ei holl fai, Ei bechod a'i anwiredd. Gwyn fyd y dyn ni chyfrif Duw Ei amryw feiau iddo; A'r hwn newidiwyd oll er gwell, Fel nad oes dichell ynddo. Cyfadde'r ŷm o'th flaen yn awr, O Dduw, ein mawr gamweddau; Tosturia wrthym, nefol Dad, A maddeu'n rhad ein beiau. Yn lloches gadarn iawn bydd in', Rhag ing yn Geidwad graslon; Ac amgylchyna ni yn lân, A chân ymwared gysson. Casgliad o Salmau a Hymnau (Daniel Rees) 1831 [Mesur: MS 8787] |
Blessed is anyone who got forgiveness, Through divine grace, of his transgression; The man all of whose faults are covered, His sin and his falsehood. Blessed is the man whom God does not account His various faults to him; And the one who was changed all for the better, So there is no deception in him. Confessing we are before thee now, O God, our great trespasses; Be merciful to us, heavenly Father, And forgive freely our faults. A very firm refuge be to us, From anguish a gracious Saviour; And surround us totally, With a constant song of deliverance. tr. 2016 Richard B Gillion |
1 He's blessed whose sins have pardon gained, no more in judgement to appear; 2 Whose guile remission has obtained, and whose repentance is sincere. 5 No sooner I my wound disclosed, the guilt that tortured me within, But thy forgiveness interposed, and mercy's healing balm poured in. 7 Thy favour, Lord, in all distress, my tow'r of refuge I must own; Thou shalt my haughty foes suppress and me with songs of triumph crown.
