Gwynfyd a gred O ddedwydd sefyllfa

(Free from the law O happy condition)

(Unwaith am byth)
Gwynfyd a gred -
    O! ddedwydd sefyllfa!
Iesu fu farw,
    ynddo mae noddfa;
  Rhag melldith deddf
      a gafodd sarhad,
  Crist a'n llwyr brynodd
      trwy ei waed.

    Unwaith am byth
        oedd ddigon i'w hoelio;
    Unwaith am byth,
        bechadur, cred ynddo;
      Glyn wrth y groes,
          daw'th faich dan dy draed;
      Crist a'n llwyr brynodd
          tryw ei waed.

Mae'r plant yn rhydd -
    nid oes damnedigaeth,
Iesu a'i ras
    sy'n llawn iachawdwriaeth;
  "Dowch ataf fi," -
      mae'r alwad yn rhad;
  Dowch, cewch eich bywyd
      yn y gwaed.

Gwynfyd y plant! -
    O alwad oruchel!
Cariad a gras
    a'u ceidw'n ddiogel;
  Cant trwy borth angeu
      fyned i'w gwlad,
  Dedwydd drigfanau
      t&375; eu Tad.

Tôn: Free from the Law (Philip P Bliss 1838-76)

(Once forever)
Blessed is one believes -
    O happy situation!
Jesus died,
    in him there is refuge;
  From the condemnation of the law
      which got slighted,
  Christ has completely redeemed us
      through his blood.

    Once forever
        was enough for him to be nailed;
    Once forever,
        sinner, believe in him;
      Stick to the cross,
          thy burden will come under thy feet;
      Christ has completely redeemed us
          through his blood.

The children are free -
    there is no condemnation,
Jesus with his grace
    which is full of salvation;
  "Come ye unto me," -
      the call is free;
  Come, get your life
      in the blood.

Blessed are the children! -
    O supreme call!
Love and grace
    will keep them safe;
  They will get through the portal of death
      to go to his land,
  The happy dwellings
      of their Father's house.
tr. 2015 Richard B Gillion

Free from the law,
    O happy condition,
Jesus has bled
    and there is remission,
  Cursed by the law
      and bruised by the fall,
  Grace hath redeemed us
      once for all.

    Once for all,
        O sinner, receive it,
    Once for all,
        O brother, believe it;
      Cling to the cross,
          the burden will fall,
      Christ hath redeemed us
          once for all.

Now we are free,
    there's no condemnation,
Jesus provides
    a perfect salvation.
  "Come unto Me,"
      O hear His sweet call,
  Come, and He saves us
      once for all.

"Children of God,"
    O glorious calling,
Surely His grace
    will keep us from falling;
  Passing from death
      to life at His call;
  Blessèd salvation
      once for all.
