Heb rad drugaredd Duw o'm plaid

1,(2,3),4,5.
(Trugareddau Duw)
Heb rad drugaredd Duw o'm plaid
  Nis gallai'm henaid fyw;
Anobaith du a lyncai'n llwyr
  Fy nghysur o bob rhyw.

Trwy fawr ddaioni
    Duw a'i ras
  Fy ysbryd llòni mae,
Yr hwn a'm cadwodd hyd yn awr
  Sy'n hoffi trugarhau.

'Rwy'n teimlo rhwymau i ganu clod
  Dros byth i'm Prynwr glân,
Trwy angeu'r groes
    agorwyd drws
  Trugaredd o fy mla'n.

Mae drws trugaredd heb ei gau,
  A gobaith heb ei ladd;
Daw pob credadyn llesg i'r làn
  I'r nef o radd i radd.

Rho im' drugaredd ar fy nhaith,
  I lòni'm poen a'm braw;
Ac am drugaredd canaf byth
  Yn nhragwyddoldeb draw.

Tonau [MC 8686]:
Hephzibah (<1845)
Milbourn Port (<1829)

(The Mercies of God)
Without the free mercy of God on my side
  My soul would not be able to live;
Black despair would swallow completely
  My comfort of every kind.

Through the great goodness
    of God and his grace
  My spirit is being cheered,
He who has kept me until now
  Is delighting to show mercy.

I am feeling bound to sing praise
  Forever to my pure Redeemer,
Through the death of the cross
    was opened a door
  Of mercy before me.

The door of mercy is still not closed,
  And hope still not killed;
May every feeble creature come up
  To heaven from degree to degree.

Give me mercy on my journey,
  To cheer my pain and my terror;
And about mercy I will sing forever
  In eternity yonder.
