"Hosanna i Fab Dafydd,"
  Medd plant Caersalem dref;
"Hosanna i Fab Dafydd,"
  Moliannwn ninnau Ef.
Mae'n Gyfaill i blant bychain
  Yn awr fel 'r oedd erioed;
"Hosanna i Fab Dafydd,"
  Mae'n Geidwad i bob oed.

"Hosanna i Fab Dafydd,"
  Bendigiad Fab y Tad,
Mae'n dod yn enw'r Arglwydd
  I lonni plant pob gwlad;
Mor addfwyn ac mor isel,
  Yw Brenin Seion wiw! -
"Hosanna i Fab Dafydd,"
  Ein Brawd a'n Ceidwad yw.

"Hosanna i Fab Dafydd,"
  O'i fodd a ddaeth yn dlawd,
A cherdded llwybrau gofid
  Yng nganol gwg a gwawd;
Ond heddiw mae E'n Frenin
  Ar orsedd nef y nef:
"Hosanna i Fab Dafydd,"
  Yn Ben coroner Ef.

"Hosanna to the Son of David,"
  Say the children of Jerusalem town;
"Hosanna to the Son of David,"
  Let us too praise him.
He is a Friend to little children
  Now as he always was;
"Hosanna to the Son of David,"
  He is a Saviour for every age.

"Hosanna to the Son of David,"
  The blessed Son of the Father,
He is coming in the name of the Lord
  To cheer the children of every land;
So gentle and so lowly,
  Is the worthy King of Zion! -
"Hosanna to the Son of David,"
  Our Brother and our Saviour he is.

"Hosanna to the Son of David,"
  Voluntarily he became poor,
And walked the paths of grief
  In the midst of scowls and scorn;
But today he is King
  On the throne of the heaven of heaven:
"Hosanna to the Son of David,"
  As Head he is crowned.
