Hwn ydyw'r dydd a wnaeth ein Duw (Mae'n galw'r cyfryw'n eiddo)

This is the day the Lord hath made (He calls the hours his own)

(Salm CXVIII - Dydd yr Arglwydd.
Adgyfodiad Crist a'n Iachawdwriaeth ninnau.)
Hwn ydyw'r dydd a wnaeth ein Duw,
  Mae'n galw'r cyfryw'n eiddo;
Plant dynion llawehawn am hwn,
  A gorfoleddwn ynddo.

Heddyw daeth Crist o'r bedd i'r lan,
  A theyrnas Satan cwympodd;
Diolched Seintiau am y dydd,
  A'r gwyrthiau sydd i'w hadrodd.

Hosanna'n awr i'n Brein da,
  Mab Dafydd fwya'i fawredd:
O cymhorth, Arglwydd, tyr'd yn awr,
  A'th râs i lawr o'th orsedd.

Bendithier ef a ddaeth i ni,
  Ei gennadwri felus;
A ddaeth yn enw'i Dad, sef Duw,
  I gadw'n rhyw gamweddus.

Hosanna'n awr, âg uchel lêf,
  F'o iddo ef yn wastad;
Ac yn y nefoedd ddedwydd lân,
  Boed hyfyd gân
      i'n Ceidwad.

(Psalm 118 - The Lord's Day.
The Resurrection of Christ and our own Salvation.)
This is the day our God made,
  He is calling such his own;
Children of men, let us rejoice for this,
  And let us be jubilant in it.

Today Christ came up from the grave,
  Ans the kingdom of Satan fell;
Let saints give thanks for the day,
  And the miracles that are to be reported.

Hosanna now to our good King,
  The Son of David with greatest majesty:
O help, Lord, bring now
  Thy grace down from thy throne.

May he be blesses who came to us,
  His sweet tidings;
Who came in his Father's name, that is God,
  To save us, the wrongful sort.

Hosanna now, with a loud cry,
  Be unto him constantly;
And in holy, happy heaven,
  Let there be a delightful song
      to our Saviour.
tr. 2022 Richard B Gillion
(Psalm CXVIII. Third Part. 24-26. Hosannah: the Lord's
Day: or, Christ's resurrection, and our Salvation.)
This is the day the Lord hath made,
  He calls the hours his own;
Let heav'n rejoice, let earth be glad,
  And praise surround the throne.

Today he rose and left the dead,
  And Satan's empire fell;
Today the saints his triumphs spread,
  And all his wonders tell.

Hosanna to the anointed King,
  To David's holy Son!
Help us, O Lord; descend and bring
  Salvation from thy throne.

Blest be the Lord, who comes to men
  With messages of grace;
Who comes in God his Father's name,
  And all his wonders tell.

Hosanna in the highest strains
  The church on earth can raise;
The highest heav'ns in which he reigns,
  Shall give him
      nobler praise.
