Huna huna bentyn duwiol Seilo

Huna, huna, blentyn duwiol Seilo,
  Duw a'th wylia yn dy dawel hun:
Gŵyr dy enw, gwrendy'n dirion
  Dy weddïau heb anghofio'r un.

Paid ag ofni clywed sŵn dy enw:
  Duw sy'n galw -
      Duw dy annwyl fam:
Gwrando dithau, cei ei neges;
  Cei dy gadw ganddo
      rhag pob cam.

Cofiwn ninnau, wrth in gau ein llygaid,
  Adain Duw yn gysgod inni fydd:
A gall sibrwd gair o'r nefoedd,
  A'n dihuno pan oleua'r dydd.
Howell Elvet Lewis (Elfed) 1860-1953

Tôn [10.9.8.9]: Huna Huna (Franz Schubert 1797-1828)

Sleep, sleep, godly child of Shiloh,
  God shall watch thee in thy quiet sleep:
He knows thy name, he will listen tenderly
 To thy prayers without forgetting any.

Do not fear to hear the sound of thy name:
  'Tis God who is calling -
      the God of thy beloved mother:
Listen thou, thou shalt get his message;
  Thou shalt be kept by him
      from every harm.

Let us too remember, as we close our eyes,
  The wings of God shadowing us shall be:
And the whisper of a word from heaven,
  Shall waken us when the day lights.
tr. 2024 Richard B Gillion
