Hwn ydyw'r dydd a drefnodd Duw

(Y Sabbath)
Hwn ydyw'r dydd a drefnodd Duw,
  I ddynion i'w ddefnyddio
Yn ei wasanaeth ef yn ddwys,
  Gan gyflawn orphwys arno.

Sancteiddiodd Duw y seithfed dydd,
  I ni gael budd ysprydol;
Gwybodaeth lawn o'i gyfraith lân,
  A gwir ddiddanwch nefol.

Yn unfryd de'wn i foli Duw,
  Ei wyneb heddyw ceisiwn;
Gwrandewn ei air sy'n dygyd hedd,
  A mawr orfoledd meddwn.

Cawn fry yn bêr
    ei foli byth,
  Cawn ganu 'mhlith angylion;
A threulio hir sabbathol ddydd
  Ar sanctaidd fynydd Sïon.

gwelir:
    Cydunwn bawb i foli Duw
    Hwn ydyw'r dydd a wnaeth ein Duw

(The Sabbath)
This is the day God has arranged,
  For man to use
In his service intently,
  While fully resting upon it.

God sanctified the seventh day,
  For us to get spiritual benefit;
Full knowledge of his pure law,
  And true heavenly enjoyment.

In one mind let us come to praise God,
  His face today let us seek;
Let us hear his word which brings peace,
  And great rejoicing let us possess.

We will get above sweetly
    to praise him forever,
  We will get to sing among the angels;
And spend a long sabbath day
  On the holy hill of Zion.
tr. 2016 Richard B Gillion
