Hwn ydyw'r dydd i ddynol ryw I'w dreulio i foli'r Ceidwad gwiw; Y dydd i'w saint dros ddaear lawr I gofio'i adgyfodiad mawr. I'w bobl addawodd Brenin Nef Ran yn ei adgyfodiad Ef; Ryw ddydd, o oer briddellau'r bedd Cant adgyfodi ar ei wedd. Y mae trysorau drud, di-ri' Yn ei haeddianau Ef i ni; Pob peth a wnaeth tra yn y byd Ynt er ein llesiant ni i gyd. Y goron aur tu draw i'r bedd, Yr anfarwoldeb pur a'r hedd Ynt eiddo Iesu, Brenin Nef, A'n heiddo ninau ynddo Ef. Am hyny, Iesu mawr, tydi A haeddet gael ein moliant ni; Heddyw ac yn dragwydol mwy Ni ganwn am dy farwol glwy'.Hymns & Tunes in Welsh & English (E T Griffith) 1884 Tôn [MH 8888]: Philadelphia (Psalmist 1850) |
This is the day for human kind To spend praising the worthy Saviour; The day for his saints across the earth below To remember his great resurrection. To his people the King of Heaven promised A part in His resurrection; Some day, from the cold soils of the grave They will get to rise again in his manner. There are costly, unnumbered treasures In His merits for us; All things he did while in the world Are all for our benefit. The gold crown beyond the grave, The pure immortality and the peace Belong to Jesus, the King of Heaven, And belong to us also in him. Therefore, great Jesus, thou Deservest to get our praise; Today and in eternity evermore We shall sing about thy mortal wound.tr. 2016 Richard B Gillion |
Again the Lord's own day is here, The day to Christian people dear, As, week by week, it bids them tell How Jesus rose from death and hell. For by his flock their Lord declared His resurrection should be shared; And they who trust in Him to save In Him are risen from the grave. We, one and all, of Him possess'd Are with exceeding treasures blest; For all He did, and all He bare, He gives us as our own to share. Eternal glory, rest on high, A blessed immortality, True peace and gladness, and a throne Are all his gifts, and all our own. And therefore unto Thee we sing, O Lord of Peace, Eternal King; Thy love we praise, Thy Name adore, Both on this day and evermore.tr.
