Iachawdwr dynolryw

1,2,(3,(4));  1,2,6,(7);  1,2,10;  1,4,5,6,8;  1,4,5,9;  1,6,7.
(Aberth Calfaria yn tawelu y gydwybod)
Iachawdwr dynolryw,
Tydi yn unig yw,
  Fy mugail da;
Mae angau'r groes yn llawn,
O bob rhinweddol ddawn,
A ffrwythau melys iawn,
  Rhai'n a'm iachâ.

'Does dim a laesa 'mhoen,
Ond gwaed yr addfwyn Oen,
  Pur waed fy Nuw;
Mae ei hun yn fwy na'r byd,
A'i holl drysorau ynghyd,
A thecach yw ei bryd
  Na dynol ryw.

Yn nyfnder dwfr a thân,
Calfaria fydd fy nghân -
  Calfaria mwy;
Y bryn ordeiniodd Duw
Yn nhrag'wyddoldeb yw,
I godi'r marw'n fyw,
  Trwy farwol glwy'.

Arosaf ddydd a nos,
Byth bellach tan dy groes,
  I'th wir fwynhau;
Mi wn mai'r taliad hyn,
Wnaed ar Galfaria fryn,
A'm cannai oll yn wyn,
  Oddiwrth fy mai.

O ffynnon werthfawr rad,
Yr afon fawr o waed,
  Ar Galfari;
Dylifa i lawr i'r byd,
A chudd fy meiau i gyd,
Yn nyfnder cariad drud,
  Dy haeddiant cu.

Mae torf aneirif fawr,
Yn ddisglaer fel y wawr,
  'Nawr yn y nef:
Trwy ganol gwawd a llid,
A gwrth'nebiadau'r byd,
Ac angau glas ynghyd,
  A'i carodd ef.

Ni thâl pleserau'r byd,
Na phob teganau 'nghyd,
  Ddim i'm boddhau;
Y gwrthddrych mwya' erioed
O gariad ac o glod,
Sydd uwch neu îs y rhod,
  Wyf yn fwynhau.

Yn gwisgo gynau gwyn,
Y gwelir saint am hyn,
  Ddydd sy'n nesau:
Caniadau am ei glwy',
Fydd eu caniadau hwy,
A'r rhei'ny fyddant mwy,
  Byth i barhau.

Gwna f'enaid bach y'nglyn,
Duw wrthyt ti dy hun,
  Gael dy fwynhau;
Ac yna gallaf fyw,
Tan gystudd o bob rhyw,
Mewn llawn dawelwch gwiw,
  Byth i barhau.

Fy enaid mwyach cân
Am iachawdwriaeth lân,
  Rhyfeddol yw;
I'r hwn sy'n trugarhau
Bo'r enw i barhau,
Am faddeu dy holl fai
  A'th gadw'n fyw.
Rhai'n a'm iachâ :: A'm llwyr iachâ
dim a laesa 'mhoen :: medswn 'laesa'm poen
Dylifa i lawr :: Rhed yma lawr
Wyf yn fwynhau :: Wy'n ei fwynhau

(The Sacrifice of Calvary quietening the conscience)
Saviour of humankind,
Thou alone art,
  My good shepherd;
The death of the cross is full,
Of every virtuous gift,
And very sweet fruits,
  Those which heal me.

There is nothing that relieves my pain,
But the blood of the dear Lamb,
  The pure blood of my God;
He himself is greater than the world,
And all its treasure altogether,
And fairer is his countenance
  Than human kind.

In the depth of water and fire,
Calvary will be my song -
  Calvary evermore;
The hill which God ordained
In eternity it is,
To raise the dead alive,
  Through a mortal wound.

I will wait day and night,
Forever henceforth under thy cross,
  Truly to enjoy thee;
I know that this payment,
Made on Calvary hill,
Would bleach me all white,
  From my fault.

From a precious, free fount,
The great river of blood,
  On Calvary;
Pours down to the world,
And hides all my faults,
In the depths of costly love,
  Thy dear merit.

There is a great, unnumbered throng,
Shining like the dawn,
  Now in heaven:
Through the midst of scorn and wrath,
And the oppositions of the world,
And utter death altogether,
  Who loved him.

Neither the pleasures of the world,
Nor all trinkets together, pay
  Anything to satisfy me;
The greatest ever object
Of love and of praise,
Which is above or below the sky,
  Do I enjoy.

Wearing white gowns,
The saints are to be seen for this,
  A day that is approaching:
Songs about his wound,
Shall be their songs,
And these shall be henceforth,
  Forever to endure.

Make my little soul stick,
God, to thee thyself,
  To get to enjoy thee;
And then I shall be able to live,
Under affliction of every kind,
In full, worthy quietness,
  Forever to endure.

My soul, henceforth sing
About holy salvation,
  Wonderful it is;
To him who is showing mercy
Be the name forever to endure,
For the forgiveness of all thy fault
  And keeping thee alive.
Those which heal me :: Which completely heal me
nothing that relieves my pain :: no medicine that relieves my pain
Pours down :: Here runs down
::
