Iesu ei hunan yw fy Mhabell

(Pabell yn noddfa a diddos rhag tymhestl. Esay 4.6.)
Iesu ei hunan yw fy Mhabell,
  A fy Noddfa gadarn gref;
Pabel lawn o ryfeddodau,
  Gwleddoedd sanctaidd pur y nef;
Noddfa dawel i bechadur,
  Euog, aflan, gwael ei lun,
Pabell hyfryd y Cyfarfod,
  Lle mae Duw a minnau'n un.

Hon yw Mhabell mi ymguddia'
  Ynddi y'mhoethder mawr y dydd;
Diddos nodded gaf fy yma,
  Er tymhestloedd
      sy neu fydd,
Pabell oesol Ior gogoned,
  Pabell lawn o ras a hedd,
Pabell hyfryd, lle caf weled,
  Ymddyscleiriad grasol wedd.

Yn y Mab mae'r nef yn foddlon,
  Hwn a ddaeth o'r nef i lawr;
Ac mae i'r pechadur ddigon,
  Digon byth, yn Iesu mawr:
Mae'n heddychu, 'n gogoneddu,
  Gan sancteiddio'r adyn cas;
Rhyfedd ddyfais! rhyfedd allu!
  Rhyfedd gariad! rhyfedd ras!

(A tent as refuge and secure against a tempest. Isaiah 4:6.)
Jesus himself is my Tent,
  And my firm, strong refuge;
A tent full of wonders,
  The pure, sacred feasts of heaven;
A quiet refuge for a sinner,
  Guilty, unclean in a poor condition,
The delightful Tent of Meeting,
  Where God and I are one.

This is the Tent in which I shall
  Hide, in the great heat of the day;
Secure protection I may get here,
  Despite the tempests
      there are or shall be,
The eternal Tent of a Lord so glorious,
  A tent full of grace and peace,
A delightful tent, where I may see,
  The radiance of a gracious countenance.

In the Son heaven is pleased,
  Him whom came from heaven down;
And who is for sinners sufficient,
  Sufficient forever, in great Jesus:
He is making peace, making glorious,
  Sanctifying the detestable wretch;
Wonderful scheme! wonderful power!
  Wonderful love! wonderful grace!
