Iesu'r hwn fu farw
  Droswyf ar y groes,
Dysg fi orfoleddu
  Am dy angau loes:
Etto pan yn ddarllen
  Am dy boenau drud,
Gwna fi'n edifeiriol
  Am fy meiau'i gyd.

Pan yn cofio'th gariad,
  A'th faddeuant llawn,
Plyg fi ar fy ngliniau
  Yn ddiolchgar iawn:
'Rwyf yn erfyn dyfod
  Atat cyn bo hir,
Arglwydd gwna fi'n barod
  I dy nefol dir.

Jesus, he who died
  For me on the cross,
Teach me to rejoice
  For thy deathly anguish:
Again when reading
  About thy costly pains,
Make me repentant
  For all my faults.

When remembering thy love,
  And thy full forgiveness,
Make me bend down on my knees
  Very thankfully:
I am imploring thee that I come
  To thee before long,
Lord make me ready
  For thy heavenly land.

Jesus tender Saviour,
  Thou hast died for me!
Make me very thankful
  In my heart to Thee.
When the sad, sad story
  Of thy grief I read,
Make me very sorry
  For my sins indeed.

Now I know thou lovest,
  And dost plead for me!
Make me very thankful
  In my prayers to thee.
Soon, I hope in glory
  At thy side to stand;
Make me fit to meet thee
  In that happy land.
