I'r ordinhad o fedydd dw'r
  Ein Prynwr ymostyngodd;
Os felly gwnaeth Tywysog nef
  Dilynwn Ef wirfodd.

'Rol d'wedyd "Gweddus yw y gwaith,"
  Ymostwng wnaeth yn drylwyr;
Os gweddus hyn i wir Fab Duw,
  Mae'n weddus i'w ganlynwyr.

Rhyw ddarlun yw o boenau Crist,
  Pan oedd yn drist hyd angeu,
Yn achos pechaduriaid drwg,
  O dan y gwg a'r poenau.

Boed grym dy gariad, Iesu cu!
  I'n tynu i rodio'th lwybrau;
A nertha ein calonau, lôr!
  I barchu'th ordinhadau.

To the ordinance of water baptism
  Our Redeemer submitted;
If thus did the Prince of heaven
  Let us follow Him voluntarily.

After saying "The work is fitting,"
  Submit he did thoroughly;
If this is fitting for the true Son of God,
  It is fitting for his followers.

Let the force of thy love, dear Jesus!
  Draw us to walk thy paths;
And strengthen thou our hearts, Lord!
