Llawenydd gaf i'm henaid trist

(Bedydd)
Llawenydd gaf i'm henaid trist,
Wrth ufuddhau i fedydd Crist;
  Bedyddiwyd Iesu draw o'm blaen
  Yn afon yr Iorddonen lān.

Trwy fedydd 'rwy'n arwyddo i maes
Fy mwriad cryf,
    trwy gymorth gras,
  I farw i bechod a'i holl chwant,
  A byw i Dduw fel pawb o'i blant.

(Baptism)
Joy I shall get for my sad soul,
By being obedient to the baptism of Christ;
  Jesus was baptised yonder before me
  In the river of the holy Jordan.

Through baptism I am signifying openly
My strong intention,
    through the help of grace,
  To die to sin and all its desire,
  And live to God like all of his children.
