Llawenychaf yn yr Arglwydd

(Llawenychu yn yr Arglwydd)
Llawenychaf yn yr Arglwydd,
  Gorfoleddaf yn fy Nuw;
Ac ym Mynydd Ei sancteiddrwydd
  Dan y palmwydd byddaf byw;
Yno mae fy etifeddiaeth,
  Yno mae fy heddwch llawn,
A digonedd iachawdwriaeth
  Yn hyfrydwch melys iawn.

Ymdawelaf yn Ei gysgod,
  Ymddigrifaf yn Ei ras;
A bendithion Ei gyfamod
  A fwynhaf dan wybren las;
Yn nirgelwch y Goruchaf
  Deuaf ar Ei ddelw'n wyn;
Ac mae croesaw i'r aflanaf
  Wedi Iawn Calfaria Fryn.

Er afiechyd a gofidiau
  Yn y cyfnos lawer awr;
Trŷ y tristwch a'r trallodau
  Yn orfoledd gyda'r wawr;
Tynnodd f'enaid i wynfydedd
  Allan o ryferthwy'r lli,
Canaf innau Ei glodforedd
  Ar y Graig sydd uwch na mi.

(Rejoicing in the Lord)
I will rejoice in the Lord,
  I will be jubilant in my God;
And in the Mountain of His holiness
  Under the palmtrees I shall life;
There is my inheritance,
  There is my full peace,
And a sufficiency of salvation
  In very sweet delight.

I will quieten myself in His shadow,
  I will find interest in His grace;
And the blessings of His covenant
  I shall enjoy under a blue sky;
In the secrecy of the Most High
  I shall become, in his image, white;
And there is a welcome for the most unclean
  After the Satisfaction of Calvary Hill.

Although so sick with griefs
  In the twilight many an hour;
The sadness and the troubles shall turn
  To jubilation with the dawn;
He drew my soul to blessedness
  Out of the tempest of the flood,
I shall sing His praise
  On the Rock which is higher than I.
