Mae'r coedydd yn tawelu

(Gweddi Hwyrol)
  Mae'r coedydd yn tawelu
  A'r adar yn distewi,
 pawb i'w nyth ei hun.
  Fe allaf innau gysgu
Yn dawel yn fy ngwely -
Mae'r Iesu'n aros ar ddi-hun.

  Efe yw'r Ffrind sy'n cofio
  Pob plentyn bychan heno,
A minnau yn eu plith.
  Er maint ei deyrnas nefol
  A'i allu mawr tragwyddol,
Mae'n cofio'r 'deryn yn ei nyth.

  O! clyw fy ngweddi, Iesu,
Yn awr, a'r nos yn nesu -
Dy blentyn bach wyf fi:
  A gad i mi ymuno
  Â'r teulu mawr sy'n huno
Yn hyfryd yn dy freichiau di.

Evening Prayer)
  The woods are quietening
  And the birds falling silent,
Everyone goes to his own nest.
  I too may sleep
  Quietly in my bed -
Jesus is staying unsleeping.

He is the Friend who remembers
  Every small child tonight,
And I too am among them.
Despite the size of his heavenly kingdom
  And his great eternal power,
He remembers the bird in its nest.

  O hear my prayer, Jesus,
Now, and the night approaching -
Thy little child am I:
  And let me join
With the great family that sleeps
Delightfully in thy arms.
