Says Advent - he will come from heaven; Says Christmas - here he is! In Epiphany - let us all praise His glory unfailingly. Before Lent, the three Sundays Lead us to the narrow way, In Lent let us seek grace - Lamenting for every detestable sin. Holy Week! bring to our hearing Christ died - he is alive again! Says Easter - O delightful day! Christ from the grave has come free. He did, he also ascended above, To prepare our place for us, After forty days in full - May his acclaim be very sweet. On Whit Sunday - let us remember - The Holy Spirit came with his gift Forever to abide with us - High-festival! let us give high renown. Last of all let us raise a cry Of praise to God and the King of heaven; The feast of the Trinity with us Shall give acclaim to the One in Three.tr. 2021 Richard B Gillion |
