Mae cyflawnder maith o haeddiant Annherfynol yn dy waed; Sawl a'i teimlodd sy'n rhyfeddu, Ac yn caru'r ddyfais rad: Cariad drud, dros y byd, Ddaeth yn ge'nllif coch i gyd. Dwyfol waed a dwyfol boenau, Haeddiant ydoedd hwn mor ddrud, Ac oedd defnyn bach o hono Yn abl ddigon brynu byd, A phe b'ai maint ei fai Ganmil trymach nag y mae. Bod Creawdwr nef yn dioddef Rodd anfeidrol werth a rhin Yn mhob gwŷn, yn mhob ochenaid, O ddioddefaint Mab y dyn: Nid yw llid euogrwydd byd Ddim i bwyso'i haeddiant drud. Yma tardd cyfiawnder allan, Fel rhyw ddiluw mawr, didrai; Ac er golchi miloedd ynddo, Nid yw'r dyfroedd ronyn llai; Gwaed fy Nuw, haeddiant yw, Trech na'r beiau dua'u lliw. - - - - - Mae cyflawnder maith o haeddiant, Annherfynol yn Ei wa'd; Sawl a'i teimlodd sy'n rhyfeddu, Ac yn caru'r ddyfais rad: Cariad drud, dros y byd, Ddaeth yn genllif mawr i gyd. Wele'n chwysu'r dafnau gwaedlyd, Noswaith rewllyd yn yr ardd; Iesu siriol, Rhosyn Saron, Ein bendithion drwyddo dardd; Bara byw, 'n haberth yw Ddaliodd dân digofaint Duw. Rho gyflawnder y Messiah, I ddod am danaf i'th ŵydd di, A chyfiawnder egwyddorol, Anian fywiol ynof fi; O na bawn lestr llawn O bob nefol ddwyfol ddawn. Er nad ydwyf ond anifail Aflan iawn er pan ce's fyw, Eto mwy na'm holl aflendid Yw cyfiawnder maith fy Nuw; Yma mae ffrwd ddidrai, Sydd yn golchi pob rhyw fai.William Williams 1717-91

There is a vast fullness of merit Immeasurable in thy blood; Those who have felt it are wondering, And loving the gracious scheme: Costy love, for the world, Came all as a red torrent. Divine blood with divine pains, A merit was this so costly, And a small drop of it was Able sufficiently to redeed a world, Even if the extent of its fault were A hundred thousand times heavier than it is. That the Creator of heaven be suffering Gave immeasurable worth and virtue In every complaint, in every groan, From the suffering of the Son of man: The wrath of the guilt of a world is Nothing to weigh his costly merit. Here righteousness issues out, Like some great, unebbing deluge; And though thousands wash in it, There is not a grain less of waters; The blood of my God, merit it is, Beating the sins of blackest colour. If there were a full ten thousand of men With their guilt all as one, Ten thousand times again vast of worlds, Detestable, guilty, in agreement; Here we get, one afternoon, A perfect sacrifice which would pay the ransom. - - - - - There is a vast fullness of endless Merit in His blood; Those who have felt it are wondering, And loving the gracious scheme: Costly love, for the world, Which all came as a great torrent. See sweating the bloody drops, On an icy evening in the garden; Cheerful Jesus, the Rose of Sharon, Our blessings through him issuing; Living Bread, our sacrifice he is Who paid the fire of the wrath of God. If there were a full ten thousand men With their guilt all as one, Ten thousand more again of worlds, Detestable, guilty, in agreement; Here we would get, on one afternoon; A perfect sacrifice to pay the ransom. Grant the fullness of the Messiah, To come for me into thy presence, With upright righteousness, A living soul in me, O that there would be a full vessel Of every heavenly, divine gift. Although I am only an animal Very unclean every since I got to live, Still greater than all my uncleanness Is the vast righteousness of my God; Here is an unebbing stream, Which is washing every kind of fault.tr. 2016 Richard B Gillion |
