Mae holl weithredoedd, Arglwydd Iôr, Trwy'r ddaear faith a'r eang fôr; Yn dadgan dy ogoniant maith Yn uchel uchel yn eu hiaith. Yr haul a'r bydoedd oll uwch ben, Aneirif lu sy'n britho'r nen, A gyd osodant allan glod; Y bysedd roddes iddynt fod. Ond yn ei air er hyny cawn, O hono ef ddatguddiad llawn Fel Duw sy'n hoffi trugarâu, Yn medru maddeu, a chuddio bai. Boed mawl a chlod i'w enw Ef, Am oll a wnaeth trwy'r ddae'r a'r nef; Yn benaf dim am air ei ras, A'r hyn ddatguddir ynddo i mae's. - - - - - Mae'th holl weithredoedd, Arglwydd Iôr, Trwy'r ddaear faith a'r eang fôr, Yn dadgan dy ogoniant maith, Yn uchel, uchel, yn eu hiaith. Ond gair ei ras mawrhau a wnaeth, Uwchlaw ei enw oll, a'i waith; Gan ddangos trwyddo i lwch y llawr, Ei gariad, a'i drugaredd fawr. Moliannus fyddo'i enw Ef, Trwy'r ddaear hon, a nef y nef; Am waith ei ddwylaw, ond yn fwy, Am gariad rhyfedd marwol glwy'.William Rees (Gwilym Hiraethog) 1802-83

All the activities, Sovereign Lord, are Throughout the vast earth and the wide sea; Declaring thy vast glory Loudly, loudly in their language. The sun and all the worlds overhead, An innumerable host who are speckling the sky, Together set forth the acclaim Of the fingers that gave them being. But in his word despite this we may have, From it a full revelation That God who loves to show mercy, Is able to forgive, and hide fault. May there be praise and acclaim to His name, For all he did throughout the earth and heaven; Chiefly of all for the word of his grace, And what is revealed in it openly. - - - - - All thy activities, Sovereign Lord, are Throughout the vast earth and the wide sea, Declaring thy vast glory, Loudly, loudly, in their languages. But the word of his grace has magnified, Above all his name, and his work; By showing through it to the dust of the ground, His love, and his great mercy. Praised be His name, Throughout this earth, and the heaven of heaven; For the work of his hands, and more, For the wonderful love of a mortal wound.tr. 2019 Richard B Gillion |
