Mae'm Prynwr mawr yn Dduw yn ddyn

1,2,3,4,5,6;  1,2,5,7.
Mae'm Prynwr mawr yn Dduw, yn ddyn,
  Ac felly'n perthyn imi;
Tywysog cadarn, Brenin cry',
  Yw'r Iesu fu'n fy mhrynu.

Mae'n wyn a gwridog yn ddi-lai,
  Ar ddengmil mae'n rhagori;
Nid oedd neb teilwng ond efe
  Fod yn y ne'n teyrnasu.

Mae'n wridog, fe ddioddefodd fry
  Ar Galfari farwolaeth;
Fe'n prynodd trwy ei waed di-nam
  O ddygn ddamnedigaeth.

Pe chwilid fry yn mhlith y sêr,
  Y byd, a'r dyfnder isod,
'Does neb a fu, na neb y sy,
  Gyffelyb i fy Mhriod.

Mae ynddo ddwfn fôr di-drai
  O gariad a thosturi;
Mae'n barod iawn i faddeu bai
  Ei briod a'i ddyweddi.

Ni feddaf ffrynd, na mam, na thad,
  A'r cyfryw gariad imi;
Mewn culni, gofid, poen, a gwae,
  Yn wastad mae'n fy ngharu.

Pa ddrwg wna'r gelyn i'r rhai hyn,
  Sy'n ffyddlon ddilyn Iesu?
Cant hwy am byth o fewn i'r nef,
  Oll gyd ag Ef deyrnasu.
ddwfn fôr di-drai :: drysor mawr yn rhad
barod iawn i faddeu bai :: hoffi maddau'n awr i ni
Ei briod a'i ddyweddi :: Mae'n addas i deyrnasu

My great Redeemer is God, is man,
  And so relative to me;
A firm Prince, a strong King,
  Is Jesus who did redeem me.

He is white and ruddy unfailingly,
  To ten thousand he is superior;
There was noon worthy but he
  To be in heaven reigning.

He is ruddy, he suffered death
  Up on Calvary;
He redeemed us through his innocent blood
  From dire condemnation.

If one sought up among the stars,
  The world, and the depths below,
There is no-one who was, nor any who is,
  Comparable to my Spouse.

In him is a deep unebbing sea
  Of love and mercy;
He is very ready to forgive a the fault
  Of his spouse and his betrothed.

I have no friend, or mother, or father,
  With such love for me;
In straits, grief, pain, and woe,
  Constantly he is loving me.

What evil shall the enemy do to such as these,
  Who are faithfully following Jesus?
They may forever within heaven,
  All together with Him reign.
a deep unebbing sea :: great treasure freely
very ready to forgive the fault :: delighting to forgive us now
His spouse and his betrothed :: He is worthy to reign
