Mae mawl yn deilwng iawn i Dduw

Mae mawl yn deilwng iawn i Dduw,
  A gweddus yw ei ganmol;
Fe roes i'w greaduriad gwael
  Ei feddwl hael trag'wyddol.

Wrth ddarllen gwerthfawr air ein Duw,
  Ni ddylem oll ei gredu;
O'r fath ddoethineb ryfedd rydd
  I'r enaid sydd ar drengu!

Praise is very fitting to God,
  And worthy it is to extol him;
He gave to base creatures
  His eternal, generous thought.

By reading the valuable word of our God,
  We ought all to believe him;
From the kind of wonderful, free wisdom
  To the soul which is about to expire!
