Mawr yw'th diriondeb nefol Dad

(Diolchgarwch am y Cynhauaf)
Mawr yw'th diriondeb, nefol Dad,
Hyd yma atom ni fel gwlad;
  Er haeddu bod o dan dy lid,
  Ein harbed 'rwyt o bryd i bryd.

Ein maesydd cnydiaist
    ti yn llon,
A'th roddion hael y flwyddyn hon;
  A hin ddymunol ro'ist i ni
  I gasglu'th drugareddau di.

Cyduned ein calonau'n awr,
I foli'th enw, Arglwydd mawr,
  A rhoi ein cyrff
      yn aberth byw,
  Er clod i'th ras - ein dyled yw.

Y Caniadydd 1841

Tôn [MH 8888]: Rockingham (E Miller 1751-1807)

(Gratitude for the Harvest)
Great is thy tenderness, heavenly Father,
Until now towards us as a country;
  Despite deserving to be under thy wrath,
  Saving us thou art from time to time.

Our fields thou didst
    make to crop cheerfully,
With thy generous gifts this year;
  And desirable weather thou gavest to us
  To gather thy mercies.

Let our hearts unite now,
To praise thy name, great Lord,
  And give our bodies
      as a living sacrifice,
  For praise to thy grace - our duty it is.
